| This electric food chopper accomplishes a food processor's principal function of chopping and mincing without having to haul out the big machine. It's just 8 inches high and 4-3/4 inches in diameter, and its 3-cup bowl is ample for many chores in a family household and most chores in a one or two-person household. At 150 watts, the motor is powerful enough to chop or mince vegetables, fruits, herbs, cheese, nuts, chocolate, cooked meats, and bread. The power head has a soft grip for easy one-handed use. The rugged, plastic bowl; its slip-resistant base, which doubles as the bowl's lid for storing food; and the stainless-steel blade are all dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack |
| I've had this item for years. I only bought a new one because I cracked the bowl and, even though the motor is still strong and everything else is working properly, I was afraid the crack would hold contamination. I love this item and will buy another one 20 years from now. The chopper is great and very handy. My only problem with it is that the top is difficult to clean. The top is not washable (as it has the electronics in it) so you have to manually wipe it down and clean it out (as stuff gets stuck in the mechanism up there). I wish it was more separate. Other than that it chops well I purchased this based on all the rave reviews. However, when I received it, I didn't realize how heavy the top was- a bit inconvenient to unload the top each time. This was for my mom who has a weaker arm so wouldn't recommend it for an older person. I returned it. |
