| This breadmaker does what it is designed to do. I use it for making pizza dough, and whole grain breads.
My biggest dissapointment is that the printed lettering came off when I spilled some oil on the machine. Now I have to remember which number is the setting I want! Am I setting it for dough or bread? (where is that manual? At least the menu settings are there.) This may be an okay bread machine, I don't really know. It arrived today and the first thing I noticed is that the bread machine box was packed upside down inside the Amazon shipping box. The second thing I noticed was that the viewing window on top was shattered. I figured that wasn't too surprising since the machine had been traveling around upside down and that inside box was in somewhat poor condition. THEN, I noticed a print out from the amazon returns center from the LAST person this machine was sent to, and they listed as the reason for the return "the viewing window is shattered". So apparently it wasn't shattered from being shipped upside down, at least not THIS time. It would be nice if they actually refurbished the refurbished models, or at least opened the box between customers. I noticed there was another review from someone that said there was actually bread or dough residue and greasy fingerprints on their machine when it arrived...I am totally skeeved out about getting a refurbished model now! I was trying to decide between a Zojirushi bread maker or this one...since I love my Zojirushi rice maker, I guess I should pay the extra money and get the Zojirushi bread maker. A brand new one. This is our third and best bread machine. The texture of the bread is not as coarse and the loaf is more like a real loaf, not a chimney! My only problem is pressing the buttons in the right order--the layout is counterintuitive to me. The first time I used the machine, I had to unplug it and wait until the preprogrammed cycle expired. |
