| We've been using Brita pitchers and filters for at least 10 years and they do a great job. You can definitly tell when the filter needs to be replaced due to the taste not being as good. I purchased these filters in addition to my Brita Space Saver model pitcher. I haven't had any complications using them and have received excellent tasting water compared to the nasty tap water in my old apartment. I would recomment these filters for anyone interested in buying a Brita Pitcher, as they're signicantly cheaper on Amazon.com versus purchasing them retail or from a local store. Each filter will last up to 2 months, however I'm almost positive you can stretch the life on these bad boys if you don't filter as much water. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family members. I have used Brita for about 10 years now and I'm very disappointed with their filters! For about the past year all the filters I've used in my pitcher have left black particles in my water. Like another reviewer, I too can understand if it was a filter or two, but for it to go on for over a year now is ridiculous. Every time I make my baby's bottles I have to look to see if there are black particles in there before I put the formula in. This is unacceptable. I have now decided to switch to a Pur water filtration system, because of this issue. |
