| A perfect gift for new homemakers, the food processor has become an integral part of modern cooking, speeding up a multitude of processes, including kneading dough, slicing, chopping, shredding cheese, vegetables and meat, mincing garlic and parsley, mixing batters, and emulsifying mayonnaise. Cuisinart's Pro Classic comes with a 7-cup work bowl, four basic attachments for slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing, and kneading, and also features two feed tube options, one big enough to handle a whole potato. This processor comes with a compact cover for use when the feed tube isn't needed and a pulse control that allows the desired degree of fineness when chopping and puréeing. Remove the detachable stem for compact storage of discs. All the parts are dishwasher-safe and the motor base wipes clean. | I REALLY MUST SAY....AMAZON IS AMAZING! I ORDERED THIS ON THURSDAY 22ND NOVEMBER AND IT WAS DELIVERED ON MONDAY 26TH WITH THE FREE SHIPPING DEAL EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LONG THANKSGIVING WEEKEND DEMANDS!
WAITED TWO YEARS FOR A DEAL ON THIS CUISINART PROCESSOR AS IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO AFFORD $200 AND FINALLY DECIDED TO BUY IT WHEN THE PRICE DROPPED TO 99.95 WITH FREE SHIPPING. I HAVE SPENT OVER $70 ON CHEAP BLENDERS AND FOOD CHOPPERS THAT DIED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF IT BEING USED. THAT IS WHEN I THOUGHT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I WAS NOT GOING TO SPEND MY MONEY ON FLIMSY PRODUCTS ANYMORE AND THOUGHT OF THE CUISINART AFTER WATCHING THE CHEFS ON FOOD NETWORK USING IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I WANTED IT TOO! I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AS WELL AS THE PRODUCT. IT LOOKED A BIT INTIMIDATING BUT I TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO WATCH THE ENCLOSED VIDEO TAPE DEMONSTRATIONS AND THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE CRYSTAL CLEAR! I MADE A VEGETABLE SOUP AND A TYPE OF FLAT BREAD DOUGH AND WAS DONE IN LESS THAN 15 MINUTES! ALL THE VEGETABLES TOOK LESS THAN 3 MINUTES TO CHOP IN THE MACHINE. BEFORE YOU CAN SAY ZAP, IT WAS DONE!SO AWESOME. IT'S SO MUCH FUN TO COOK NOW! THE MACHINE IS SO QUIET WHEN WORKING, THAT IT DOESN'T DISTURB THE REST OF THE FAMILY. THIS MACHINE IS AN ABSOLUTE DREAM COME TRUE FOR THOSE OF US WHO SPEND THE BULK OF TIME IN THE KITCHEN, COOKING FROM SCRATCH. I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY OUT OTHER RECIPES. THE MACHINE BASE IS SUPER STURDY AND HEAVY SO IT WON'T BE MOVING AROUND WHEN IT'S IN USE. THE BLADES ARE OF HIGH QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL. YOU CAN SEE IT AND FEEL IT. THE BOWL IS VERY EASY TO CLEAN. THERE ARE NO NOOKS AND CRANNIES THAT ALLOW FOOD TO GET STUCK. MY ADVISE........THIS IS THE BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT YOU CAN EVER GIVE SOMEONE WHO LOVES TO COOK (OR WHO HATES TO COOK BECAUSE THEY'RE GONNA START LOVIN' IT!). I have owned this model Cuisinart (which I bought for substantially more) since 1983. Today, Thanksgiving day 2007 I made 40 Carrot cakes using this machine - and it still works as strong as the day it was bought. My son mentioned buying a food processor as a gift - this is the only one I would suggest he buy. GET IT! I've had this product for about 6 weeks now. So far I'm very happy with it. It's much quieter than my last food processor and does a great job. It is heavy, and I don't keep it out on the counter. I put it on a small tray to store it and only have to lift the tray instead of each part when I need to use it. I've used it to cut and chop vegetables and to mix the topping for an Apple Crisp. You need to be careful to not over process. I chopped cranberries the other day for a cranberry bread...did a great job and was a huge time saver. I recommend this product. If you use a processor for lots of things, I might recommend one with a larger capacity. |
