| The MWF filter did replace the GWF filter of my older refrigerator. It seems to work well and I DID NOT need to buy a new adapter. Who knows, your refrigerator may be different, but the MWF filter does replace my GWF filter no problems.
Please note that I had to REMOVE the adapter connected to the old GWF (or MWF) filter that was to be discarded and place the adapter on the new filter. If you accidently throw away the adapter or need it, you can buy it. Search for GWFadapter on Amazon and you will find it. If you're looking to filter water...and you need it to be through a fridge water dispenser this is a great filter. (if you're looking to filter water through some other means...i don't know what to tell you.) Do not attempt to install in your faucet. After hours of fighting with my father over whether it went in the fridge or on the faucet in the 1/2 bathroom...we rock paper scissor'd it. (i won, cause he never realizes that my rock really lost to his paper) Fantastic Filter GE!!! Easy to install. Supplier sent it in a timely fashion. Good for six months but expensive, more so than it has to be |
