| After doing much research, I finally stumbled on the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro Juicer. This product is extremely well made and has a 1.1 horsepower motor which is unheard of in a juicer. To give a perspective, most corded (A/C) power drills only have about 1/3 (0.33) horsepower. It really "squeezes out" a lot of juice from the fruits and vegetables. Looks good too. Glad I bought it. Impressive performance thus far. I am not sure what makes the higher priced juicers more expensive. Perhaps, it is durability since this model is mostly plastic. But it does have a very good engine and I have experienced no problems in the limited time of use. Clean up is very easy. Pulp is collected in the container and it is a smart idea to use a plastic bag. Most of the other pieces can simply be rinsed though you may have to spoon some of the pulp out of lower housing...nothing complicated. But be sure to clean the metal drainer basket immediately after use because if this stuff dries in there, it will take some major soaking to get it out. Overall, the juicer works well and now it will be a matter of its longevity. A great gift to self, this fast juicer. Comes with brush that helps with quick clean up. |
