| I had an older Keurig machine which was bigger but great. I purchased this Model which looks more like something out of sharper Image. the water container has an internal blue LED light that illuminates the water a Star Trek like blue and will flash when the water gets low. So if you like a nice big cup of Joe or tea you'll need to fill it often. Now that said, about the noise factor - this thing sucks in water and growls very loudly, like a coffee grinder. If you are filling a big mug of coffee, you will need to fill your cup twice which means the machine will have to suck water in 4 TIMES which lasts about 6 or 7 seconds. It rattles anything on the kitchen counter from the vibration frequency. Sounds great doesn't it.... We bought this baby for Christmas last year. We absolutely love it, not only for coffee, but for tea made with tea bags, since unlike some other coffee makers, this machine gives you tasteless hot water instantly, an unexpected bonus. Unfortunately, it just stopped working. A quick call to Keurig and another one is on the way! No hassles whatsoever. You gotta love it. We love the Keurig concept for coffee making. One cup at a time, and the coffee is always fresh! We have this same model, and bought one for a friend that was leaving middle Georgia to go to Colorado. She loved the coffee maker, so we bought her one to remember us by. My wife and I love "strong" coffee, and we've found several that are "bold" enough to make a "full" cup of coffee. Most of the flavored coffees (great in the late afternoon as a "pick-me-up) we use, we select the smaller cup size so that we can enjoy the full flavor. This is a great product, and Amazon is one of the better places (price wise) to buy the coffee too! |
