| After searching for a long time for a blender I found this one at Amazon. As a kid my mother had one that she gave to my aunt and she still has it after 30 years. This one is much more modern. Handles ice great and blends very well and rapidly. I have heard that many people think this blender is loud. I dont think it is at all. The black matte finish repels stains and dirt well. One problem that I have encountered was that I unscrewed the blades from the glass to clean and it now leaks when I make smoothies (leaks from the bottom of the jar). That is the only reason I gave it a 4 vs 5. The all metal mechanism is great and worry free. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good blender at the unbelievable amazon price. This product is as represented and arrived in a timely manner. It's very good at crushing ice so makes really good ice-blended or frozen drinks very quickly. It can be set to steady blend or to pulse. I'm quite satisfied with it and would buy another Oster product, based on my experience with this item, which was my first Oster product. I ordered this blender to make protien shakes and this powerhouse does so much more! The speed at which it crushes ice is incredible and it also makes sauces and dressings in lightning speed. The clean up is a snap...and heck it even looks great sitting on the counter. I highly reccomend this blender for everyone...its a must have in a well stocked kitchen! |
