| This has done exactly what it is advertised to do: boil water. It's much easier and faster than doing it on the stove and the microwave never really gets it boiling. The only minor complaint I have is that there is a very slight plastic taste, so if that really bothers you then you might want to avoid this product. That being said, I don't even notice it and it is getting less and less of a problem with each use. The good features of this product are: (1) it boils water quickly - in about 5 minutes (2) it is small and can be easily tucked away. A slight downside is that once the water boils, the kettle turns off, so the water doesn't stay at boiling temperature. This is a good safety feature (I'm tired of burned-out kettles on the stove). And, since the water boils so quickly, I typically don't need to keep the water hot. The small capacity makes it good for one or two people. Delivery was very fast. The electric kettle doesn't seem as fast at boiling as the ones I used during a recent trip in the UK, but it is faster than the microwave or stove-top kettle when I want more than 1 cup of boiling water! |
