| Bought this before Christmas. Used only twice. First time it was ok, heat up pretty fast. Second time it made a spark and burned a hole at the bottom of the pot. Looked like it had short circuited, because the circuit breaker in the house had tripped. It left a hole on the burner surface too. It did worth to find the warranty and get a refund, So I just threw it away. Works fine, but hey, its just a hot plate. There's not a lot to it. I use it for my pressure cooker, which doesn't work on my smooth top stove. At 1000 watts, its hot enough to do the job. Not the most stylish on the market, but for thirteen bucks and free shipping ( Amazon ), I'm happy. Needed an extra burner around the holidays. This little champ came in great and helped make everything come off the stove at the same time. It is easy to use, maintains proper heat. Works better than oneI had that was three times the cost |
