| I always make steamed food and this rice cooker is perfect for me. I just need to set the timer in the morning, put the rice and the food to steam in my rice cooker and go to work. After I arrive home, rice and the steamed food is already done. I also use it to cook porridge, but it always makes the porridge as rice. The only thing I didn't like too much is that it's too slow in cooking rice. But soon I found the fast-cook function can help and the rice is still good. I bought this item at amazon.com and then I google the harmfulness of the Titanium, I found in the experiment to the mice, the Titanium may cause the mice to get liver cancer or lymphoma cancer, although there is no result to suggest the effect to patient. So I will return this product and hope there are more comments from specialist. We all know the Titanium is a good stuff to connect bones but this does not mean it can be eaten. I read lots of customer reviews on all of the rice cookers before buying this one. Several people said that the Ziroshi wasn't really any better than this one, and this one is way cheaper. I definitely feel like I made the right decision. I've been using the timer to make brown rice for me every morning, so I'll have it for my lunch and it always comes out absolutely perfect. I've had several of the cheaper rice cookers, and I can say that there is no comparison. None of them did a great job on brown rice and sometimes even white rice would get a little charred on the edges. The absolute best thing about having a fancy rice cooker, such as this, is setting the timer and waking up to rice or setting it in the morning and coming home to rice and then just steaming some veggies to go on top and dinner is ready. It doesn't get any easier than that. Also, it's always very easy to clean... even if I've been lazy and left it sitting for a day. I can always clean it with a soapy sponge in about 1-2 minutes. This is definitely one of the best things I've ever bought, and it has become a part of my daily life. |
