| When we had waffles as a child it was a special breakfast treat. In trying to create the morning magic for my own children I had been disappointed by the outcome using a few different brand name waffle makers. I was starting to not like waffles at all. After a trip home and seeing my kids enjoy the waffles my Dad made I became inspired again. Although I consider this model a little expensive it was well worth it. It is easy to use, easy to clean and makes wonderful waffles. I prefer to make them from scratch but I agree with prior reviews that even box mix comes out great. The one downside is that it is not very compact to store. Overall, it is a great purchase. I purchased this item from QVC, and I this product is excellent as a Christmas or Wedding gift. Makes belgian waffles seem so easy to make. When the waffles were ready, everyone said how good it tasted. The waffles did not stick; causing you to have a messed up waffle. I would definitely recommend purchasing this product. Clean up after cooking was very easy -- just wipe clean and your done. Bottom tray is removable so you can just remove the tray and wash to get rid of the excess batter spill. Hope this helped with making a decision. I was given this as a gift a couple years ago and its far exceeded my expectations. I use it weekly and it even after two years it works and looks like new. The waffles this iron makes are light, crisp and delicious. They are true belgium waffles, and because of the rotating feature, the waffles come out evenly and perfectly cooked. The best features are the light/beep that lets you know when the waffle iron is ready to be used and the beep that lets you know when they are done...so you never have to worry about babysitting your waffles. When ever I have guests come to visit, their first request is always waffles...this waffle iron has turned me into a goddess in the kitchen! I recommend using the Premium Belgium waffle mix, that you can get at William-Sonoma...its so easy to use and makes the perfect waffles, in much less time than making your batter from scratch. |
